2020 Suzuki Ignis Facelift Launched in India from INR 4.89 Lac

Having recently unveiled the Ignis facelift at the 2020 Auto Expo, Maruti has now officially launched the model in India. Available in 7 variants in total, the 2020 Suzuki Ignis hatchback is priced from INR 4.89 lac for the base Sigma variant and goes as high as INR 7.20 lac for the top-spec Alpha AMT variant.

The most significant update is the engine which is now complaint to the new & stringent BS-VI emission standards replacing the BS-IV in the pre-facelift models. With this the prices have seen an increase of INR 6,000 across the entire Ignis range. The engine is a 1.2-liter four-cylinder K-12 petrol unit that produces 83hp and 113Nm of torque and comes paired to 5-speed manual and AMT gearbox options. Fuel economy is rated at 20.89 km/ liter.

In terms of design the 2020 Ignis facelift is not too different from the pre-facelift model it replaces. However, it does feature a new grille design, a new front bumper with a faux scuff-plate and a reworked rear bumper.

Inside, the dashboard remains unchanged however the 7.0-inch touchscreen has been upgraded with Maruti’s latest SmartPlay Studio infotainment system, which comes with voice command recognition and on-board navigation. Dual airbags and ABS are standard in all variants of the Ignis. It also gets seat belt pre-tensioners, ISOFIX child seat anchorage, and pedestrian protection.

The 2020 Maruti Suzuki Ignis measures 3,700 mm in length, 1,690 mm in width and 1,595 mm in height. It has a 2,435 mm wheelbase, and boasts a luggage space of 260 liters. The facelift has also seen inclusion of two single tone colors and three dual tone color combinations. The Suzuki Ignis facelift range is priced as:
