Suzuki is all set to introduce a premium version of WagonR in India dubbed as XL5, which will be sold under Maruti’s premium Nexa dealerships. Camouflaged test mules have already been spotted testing in the country.

The premium version of the Wagon R will likely come equipped with projector LED headlamps and new tail lamps, LED DRLs and off course a revised fascia with redesigned grille and bumpers. Inside, an automatic climate control along with a few additional features over the regular Wagon R are expected to be offered to set the car apart from regular WagonR variants.
The engine is likely to be carried over which will be the newly introduced BS-VI compliant 1.0-liter engine producing 67hp and 90Nm and will be paired to either a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed AMT.

The WagonR XL5 is expected to be launched towards mid 2020 with an estimated price tag of INR 5.0 lac (PKR 10.7 lac). The regular 2020 Suzuki WagonR in India is priced from INR 4.42 lac (PKR 9.54 lac) to INR Rs 5.41 lac (PKR 11.67 lac).
