Indus Motor Company (IMC) has increased the prices of its local assembled vehicles in wake of the recent depreciation of Pak Rupee against the US Dollar. According to notification, the increase in price ranges from Rs 110,000 to up to Rs 500,000 depending on the model.

The revision in prices also includes the newly launched Yaris sedan which is yet to hit the local roads. With an increase of Rs 120,000 the base 1.3L GLi MT variant now cost PKR 24.69 lac, while the top-spec 1.5L Yaris AtivX CVT variant with a price bump of Rs 150,000 is now available for PKR 29.59 lac.
Toyota Corolla variants have witnessed a price hike of up to Rs 200,000 after which the flagship 1.8L Altis Grande CVT now costs PKR 38.99 lac. The least increase of Rs 110,000 has been made to the base Altis 1.6L MT which is now available for PKR 31.59 lac.

The IMV (Innovative International Multi-purpose Vehicles) which include the Hilux range of pickups and Fortuner SUV have seen a revision of up to Rs 300,000 and Rs 500,000 respectively. After this increase, the flagship Hilux Revo V now costs PKR 65.49 lac whereas the top-spec Fortuner TRD is now available for PKR 93.99 lac.
The revised prices are applicable from the 15th of April 2020. Following IMC, other assemblers are also expected to announce their price revisions soon. Want to share your thoughts on this price increase, let us know with your comments.
