After Indonesia and Thailand, the all-new Honda WR-V compact crossover SUV has been formally introduced in Malaysia. The vehicle was already up for booking since last month and prior to its launch today, Honda Malaysia has reportedly received over 2,500 bookings for the WR-V thus far. The company targets to sell up to 1,300 units of WR-V each month.
The Malaysian-spec WR-V is offered across four trim levels – S, E, V, and RS. All variants are powered by the same 1.5L DOHC four-cylinder petrol engine that comes paired with a CVT automatic transmission. The engine generates 120 hp of power and 145 Nm of torque sending drive to the front wheels. Honda claims a low 6.0 liters/100 km (16.66 km/l) fuel average across the range.
Features that are offered as standard across the range include Honda LaneWatch Camera, Vehicle Stability Assist (VSA), two USB-A charging ports, as well as a 7-inch central touchscreen infotainment display offering both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity.

This has numerous new features, such as Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), Lead Car Departure Notification (LCDN), Forward Collision Warning (FCW), Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB), Lane-Departure Warning (LDW), and Lane Keep Assist System (LKAS).
Other amenities such as a 4.2-inch TFT digital instrument display, automatic climate control, multi-angle reverse camera, and keyless entry & ignition with remote engine start and walk-away lock functions are standard-equipped upwards from the E-grade variant too.
