The 2nd generation Honda Vezel or 3rd generation HR-V was first revealed in Japan in February 2021, before going on sale in various markets such as Japan, America, Europe, and Asia in the same year. Now 3 years after making its debut, Honda Japan has released the first images and preliminary information of the refreshed Honda Vezel or HR-V which is set to go on sale starting from its home market pretty soon.

In terms of design, the fascia shows subtle design adjustments in the grille as well as headlamps which now get an additional high beam system called Adaptive Driving Beam, that can spread the beam of light to prevent dazzling cars in front or cars passing by. At the rear, the only change made is the LED light bar signature.
Inside, a few changes are made, such as cutting out the side wing of the left gear lever base to make it easier for the front passenger to utilize the wireless charger. In addition, the storage box beneath the air conditioning control panel has been redesigned to be more functional and spacious.
In terms of power, the refreshed Honda Vezel/ HR-V will remain unchanged. There will be a 1.5L Atkinson Cycle engine producing a maximum power of 98 hp and peak torque of 127 Nm that works in tandem with an electric motor for a combined output of 109 hp and 253 Nm. There is a choice of both front-wheel drive FWD and 4-wheel drive AWD.
Safety systems and driving assistance systems continue to be equipped with the Honda Sensing package but the refreshed models will boast additional features including the intelligent high-beam system called Adaptive Driving Beam, Traffic Jam Assist, and a Sudden Acceleration Suppression Function.

In addition to the regular models, Honda also has a set of accessories to choose from to install according to the tastes of customers, such as Casual Style, Active Style, Urban Style, and Sport Style, etc. More information about the refreshed Honda Vezel/ HR-V is expected to be available soon ahead of the formal unveiling in Japan expected somewhere between March and May 2024.
