Maruti Suzuki has launched the fourth generation 2018 Swift in India at Auto Expo 2018, with prices starting at INR 4.99 lac (ex-showroom Delhi)
The 2018 Maruti Swift based on Suzuki’s new Heartect platform is available with a 1.2-litre VVT petrol engine and a 1.3-litre DDiS 190 diesel engine. The petrol engine produces 61 kW (81.77 hp) and 113 Nm of torque, while the diesel engine develops 55.2 kW (73.99 hp) and 190 Nm of torque. Available transmission options are 5-speed manual and 5-speed auto gear shift (AGS). The all-new Swift’s fuel economy rating is 22 km/liter (petrol) and 28.4 km/liter (diesel).
Key features include LED projector headlamps with LED DRLs, 15-inch precision-cut alloy wheels, LED tail lamps, automatic climate control, leather-wrapped flat-bottomed steering wheel and 7-inch Smartplay touchscreen infotainment system. On the safety front the 4th gen Swift in India boasts dual-front airbags and ABS with EBD and BA as standard, while reverse parking sensors and reversing camera are available.
The petrol versions are priced from INR 4.99 to 7.29 lac while the diesel models are priced from INR 5.99 lac and go up to INR 8.29 lac for the fully loaded version.
