Honda Atlas is all set to launch the 6th generation City in Pakistan on the 29th of July 2021, however its brochure got leaked ahead of its debut revealing all the details of the vehicle other than its price. As revealed earlier, the City will come available in two engine & two transmission options distributed across 5 trims:
- 1.2LS MT
- 1.2LS CVT
- 1.5LS CVT
- 1.5 Aspire MT
- 1.5 Aspire CVT
As before, the Aspire is the flagship trim in City lineup which will boast exterior highlights such as LED DRLs, fog lamps, chrome door handles, alloy wheels & shark fin antenna to distinguish itself from the low-spec variants which comes fitted with steel rims & wheel caps, body colored door handles & short pole antenna. However there are no projector headlamps even in the top trim and the fog lamps are bulb type instead of LEDs.
Inside the City features dual-tone beige/ black theme across the range with Aspire getting goodies such as 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, touch operated auto AC, rear vents, multi-function steering wheel, cruise control and push-button engine start/ stop whereas the regular variants will get 7-inch touchscreen, manual ac with conventional knobs, and limited controls on one side of the steering wheel. Driver seat height adjustment, rear seat arm rest with cup holders, key-less entry, power outside mirrors & auto door locks comes as standard across all variants.
Both 1.2L (1,199cc) and 1.5L (1497cc) engines are Euro-IV compliant with the former good for 88hp of power and 110Nm of torque whereas the latter churns out 118hp of power and 145Nm of torque. The engines are paired to either 5-speed manual or CVT gearbox depending on the variant.

In terms of safety, all variants get dual airbags as standard along with 5-seatbelts, ISOFIX child seat anchorage, security alarm, engine immobilizer, reversing camera, ABS with EBD and brake override system. However there is no vehicle stability assist or hill-start assist even in the top-spec variant.
The 6th gen City will be available in 7 exterior colors and will be backed by 3-years or 75,000km warranty, however the brochure clearly mentions that there will be ‘no warranty’ if there is no periodic maintenance.

The most important thing is yet to be known though- the price. According to unofficial sources, the base variant will start from PKR 25.2 lac while the top-spc variant may fall somewhere around PKR 30.0 lac. However we will have to wait for the official announcement from the company.
