Another Milestone for Kia Seltos in India

Kia Seltos has achieved yet another milestone in India. The facelift which debuted in July of last year, has surpassed the 100,000 units sales mark, achieving the feat in just around 7 months.

After a great start with record-breaking first-day bookings in its segment, the Seltos has continued to achieve success, captivating the hearts of Indian consumers. Kia has been securing a remarkable sales average of 13,500 units each month, which has cemented the Seltos’ standing as a well-liked option in the Indian market. Customers looking for value, performance, and style have found the Seltos to be an ideal choice, especially at its competitive starting price of INR 10.99 lac (ex-showroom).

Since its inception in August 2019, having made its world premiere in India a couple of months before that, Kia has rolled out over 600,000 Seltos units in India, with a significant chunk of them finding homes in the domestic market while the rest being exported to other parts of the world. In 2023 alone, Kia managed to sell more than 104,000 units of the Seltos, underlining its widespread appeal.

Interestingly, automatic versions have become very popular with Seltos customers, accounting for over half of all bookings. Moreover, due to the growing emphasis on safety, a significant 40% of purchasers are expressing a strong desire for models with Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS).

80% of Seltos customers choose sunroof, which reflects the long-standing preference of Indian consumers for this feature. At 58:42%, the ratio of bookings for gasoline and diesel variants is pretty balanced. Additionally, 80% of consumers prefer top-tier options when making bookings, demonstrating the attraction of premium features.

The new Kia Seltos facelift, which debuted in July 2023, has maintained its standing as an aspirational SUV in the Indian market.
