Baojun Reveals the 5-Door Yep Plus

Baojun, an automobile marque owned by a joint venture of General Motors (GM), SAIC Motor, and Wuling Automobile, launched the Yep mini electric SUV which was seen as China’s answer to the likes of ICE-powered Suzuki Jimny.

And since Suzuki introduced the 5-door variant of the Jimny last year, it was perhaps about time for Baojun to bring out a 5-door variant of the Yep, and guess what, it just did. The first official images of the vehicle have now been revealed.

Called the Baojun Yep Plus, it follows the design language of the three-door Yep. The Yep Plus has blackened pillars, a white roof, short overhangs, five-spoke rims, blocky LED headlights, and a swing-out rear trunk door. It measures 2,996/1,760/1,726 mm in dimensions. To accommodate five doors, the wheelbase has been extended from 2,110 mm to 2,560 mm.
