BYD’s Global Expansion Continues- 3 Models Launched in Uzbekistan

BYD (Build Your Dreams), the world’s leading manufacturer of new energy vehicles witnesses its worldwide expansion gain momentum and spreads to new areas, now reaching Central Asia. The Chinese auto giant has launched 3 models in Uzbekistan which include one pure EV and two plug-in hybrids.

The product portfolio includes the BYD Han EV, the BYD Song Plus DM-i, and the BYD Chazor (Destroyer 05) hybrid. BYD has also announced pre-sale starting prices for all three vehicles. According to the company statement:

“The first BYD new energy vehicles arrived in Uzbekistan in March, with a second delivery already in progress and due early in April, bringing customers in Uzbekistan an all-new NEV experience thanks to cutting-edge hybrid DM-i and EV technologies developed by BYD.”

BYD stated that preparations for entry into the Uzbekistan market in Central Asia began in December 2022 and were made feasible so fast thanks to a joint venture with UzAuto to build the EVs in the country. The Chinese manufacturer describes its latest market entry as a platform for “exciting future collaboration,” which already includes working with local dealers to provide BYD consumers with localized sales as well as after-sales service and support. Ivan Cao, Deputy General Director of BYD Central Asia LLC, said:
