Chery has launched a new sportier variant of the Arrizo 5 sedan in China called as the Arrizo 5 GT priced between 99,900 yuan to 108,900 yuan (PKR 33.86 lac to PKR 36.91 lac).

The new GT variant differentiate itself from the regular Arrizo 5 sedan with styling enhancements. The fascia gets a large mesh grille and sharper LED headlamps while the aggressive bumper gets heat dissipating vents on either side. The GT variant comes equipped with blacked-out double five-spoke rims, bright color brake calipers, and special GT badges to further enhance its sporty attributes.
The rear end gets smoked black tail lights. There is a bright black decorative strip that connects the light groups on both sides to form an integrated shape. The lower section of the rear bumper gets diffuser element with carbon-fiber pattern and a centrally mounted reflector. Lastly there are twin exhaust pipes on either sides giving the vibes of quad-exhausts.
Inside, the dashboard gets dual-screen design layout combining a digital LCD instrument panel and the central control screen unified together. A large area of the interior is covered with orange suede to emphasize the sporty ambience of the car. Also there is 3-spoke flat-bottomed multi-function steering wheel while an electronic gear shifter with a chunky lever adds to the sportiness of the GT variant.

Under the hood, the Chery Arrizo 5 GT gets a 1.6L turbocharged four-cylinder Kunpeng power engine with a maximum power of 197 hp & peak torque of 290Nm that comes paired to a 7-speed wet dual-clutch transmission. Chery claims the Arrizo 5 GT requires less than 6 seconds to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h.
