We might still associate Chery with QQ hatchback, the Daewoo Matiz/ Chevrolet Joy knockoff that was introduced in Pakistan by Karakoram Motors during the previous decade. However like most Chinese automakers, Chery has improved by leaps and bounds and produce some stunning vehicles today that are doing extremely well in China and in other parts of the world.
Chery has recently launched their flagship sedan the Arrizo GX in China, also known as Arrizo 6. Available in 4 trims and 2 transmission options, Chery Arrizo GX sedan is priced between 79,900 yuan (PKR 14.33 lac) to 106,900 yuan (PKR 19.17 lac). The Arrizo GX will begin to reach export markets towards the end of this year.
The 2018 Arrizo GX sedan features Chery’s latest LION Intelligent Cloud System, and is the second vehicle built on the new M1X modular platform, jointly developed by Chery and JLR (Jaguar Land Rover).

Equipped with a 1.5 liter turbocharged engine that punches out 147hp of power and 210Nm of torque, the Chery Arrizo GX is the first (Chinese car) to come equipped with a 9-speed CVT gearbox. According to Chery, this setup brings the most exciting accelerating experience with 0-60 km/h in under 4 seconds and 0-100 km/h in under 9 seconds only. The engine with an improved thermal efficiency of up to 37.1% results in impressive fuel economy figures of 15.6 km per liter.
The Arrizo GX gets an ambient and well thought-out cabin with dual tone color schemes and good use of leather. It gets three screens, the 7-inch intelligent link LCD meters, the 8-inch AC LCD touch screen and 9-inch retina HD touch capacitor console screen.
