Chery showcased the Omoda E5 at the 2024 Indonesia International Motor Show (IIMS) and the electric crossover has received a fairly good reception from the Indonesian public.
The automaker claims to have received over 200 orders of the pure-electric model. According to Zeng Shuo, the Executive Vice President of Chery Indonesia, the overwhelming response has encouraged Chery to enhance the initial quota of 1,000 units of Omoda E5 to 2,000 units.
According to reports, since it was first unveiled at the Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) in August 2023, the total number of Omoda E5 reservations has exceeded 1,200 units. This enthusiasm was the reason for Chery’s decision to raise the Omoda E5 quota, the company said.
