Citroen to Start Exporting C3 from India

The Citroen C3 made its debut in India in July of last year. The entry-level hatchback with over 90% localization is built at Citroen’s plant located in Thiruvallur, Tamil Nadu. Now according to the latest information, Citroen will soon begin exporting the C3 hatchback to several African and ASEAN countries, with India serving as the C3’s production base.

Priced from INR 5.98 lac in India, the C3 is available with two petrol engines: a 1.2L naturally aspirated and 1.2L turbocharged unit. Both engines will be upgraded on April 1, 2023, to meet the forthcoming stringent RDE standards.

A large 10-inch touchscreen with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a digital instrument cluster, manual air conditioning, a 4-speaker sound system, and front and rear USB charging ports are among the C3’s key features, along with a tachometer, rear windscreen wiper and defogger, powered wing mirror adjustment, a day/night rear-view mirror, and a central lock/unlock button for the doors. Dual airbags, rear parking sensors, and seatbelt reminders are all offered as standard safety equipment.
