Dayun Passenger Car already produces two low-budget EVs in China, however, the Dayun Group’s Yuanhang Auto is aimed at the high-end electric vehicle market in China. Yuanhang (远航) which means ‘Voyage’ in Chinese, unveiled four cars at the 2022 Chengdu Motor Show last year that are slated to go into production starting from 2023. And here we have the first of these 4 EV models, the Yuanhang Y6.

The Y6 is positioned as a luxury executive sedan and sits on Yuanhang’s electric BHD (Beyond the Horizon of Drive) platform jointly developed with Bosch and Huawei. In terms of dimensions, the Yuanhang Y6 measures 5,270/2,000/1,500 mm with a 3,130 mm wheelbase. These dimensions make it even larger than the Hyundai Sonata we have here, which measures 4,910/ 1,860/ 1,445 mm and has a 2,840 mm wheelbase. Thus the Y6 can be classified as a proper D-segment sedan.
