Honda Unveils 3 Electric Vehicles at 2023 Auto Shanghai

At Auto Shanghai 2023, Honda presented a trio of electric automobiles. The e:NP2 Prototype and the e:NS2 Prototype as well as the e:N SUV concept car.

Honda continues its e:N Series theme (which first appeared in 2021) by claiming that the fastback-styled duo (e:NP2 and e:NS2), featuring a large rear glass screen, combines the excellent utility of SUVs and sleek form of sedans, and will offer “a unique driving pleasure that enables the driver to enjoy a sense of oneness with the vehicle.”

They will also have an interior that “conveys intelligence with clean, uncluttered, yet pleasantly rounded forms combined with advanced features such as Honda Connect 4.0.” The company merely revealed that the production versions of its second wave of e:N Series cars are planned to join the Chinese market in early 2024. As with the earlier models, it did not disclose the models’ size or specs, powertrain information, or other specifics.

Regarding the e:N SUV concept, the study differs significantly from the original version of the vehicle that was unveiled back in 2021. One difference is that a more organic, traditionally-styled face has taken the place of the earlier N SUV’s front appearance, which appears to have been emulated by the e:N2 Concept that was unveiled late last year.

The model will be the first to use the e:N Architecture W platform, which was created solely for the automaker’s more expensive RWD and AWD e:N Series cars. It is anticipated to hit the market before the end of 2024. The newest safety and driving aids from Honda as well as AI-powered Honda Connect technology will also be included.
