It’s been about 43 years since the world has seen a redesign of the familiar “H mark” that adorns Honda cars & represents the brand’s identity. That is about to change as Honda debuted a new H mark at the 2024 CES that is destined for future electric vehicles.
This also means that the current Honda logo that we are familiar with, will continue to be there on Honda’s gasoline-powered & hybrid vehicles, as the new logo is exclusive for EVs only.

The new Honda logo is more reminiscent of the original H mark that was used throughout the 1960s (see for comparison above, left). It looks like a revamp of that old-style look, giving it a retro vibe while maintaining a fresh and modern appearance. According to Honda:
“This design expression, like two outstretched hands, represents Honda’s commitment to augment the possibilities of mobility and sincerely serve the needs of the users of Honda EVs.”
In the same vein, Honda announced the Honda 0 Series, a global EV series emphasizing thin, light, and wise principles. The series, including the Saloon and Space Hub, will feature sustainable materials, advanced driver-assistive systems, connected technologies, and a novel design philosophy called ‘The Art of Resonance.’

According to the Japanese automaker, the Honda 0 Series vehicles— based on the Saloon and Space Hub concepts— bearing the new H logo will be formally launched in 2026 starting from the North American markets. Honda is aiming to realize carbon neutrality for all products and corporate activities Honda is involved in by 2050. To this end, the company is pursuing electrification to achieve its automobile electrification target of “increasing the ratio of EV and FCEV sales to 100% globally by 2040.”
