In terms of design, the all new 4th gen Hyundai Tucson takes inspiration from the Vision T concept that debuted at the 2019 Los Angeles Motor Show. The teaser images highlight the latest evolution of Hyundai’s signature headlamp architecture, called “Parametric Hidden Lights”. The DRLs that are integrated into the jewel-like grille are only revealed when turned on, & remain hidden otherwise.
Bearing the brand’s latest design philosophy called ‘Sensuous Sportiness’, the all new Tucson will get polyhedral shapes carved on its body mimicking jewel-like surface details that were first featured on the new Elantra sedan and will become part of all upcoming Hyundai models.
According to SangYup Lee, senior VP and Hyundai’s Design Chief:
“The mission of ‘Sensuous Sportiness’ is to elevate the emotional qualities of automotive design. We want our customers to feel moved. With the all-new Tucson, we are introducing its ultimate evolution and a definitive statement about Hyundai’s unstoppable forward momentum. Tucson’s advanced, experimental design is true to its pioneering spirit and raises the game in the industry’s most competitive segment.”
As per reports, the 4th gen Tucson will be available in both short and long wheelbase versions, depending on the region where it will be sold. In both the cases it’s going to be longer & wider than the 3rd generation model it will replace, which was recently introduced in Pakistani market.

Although the South Korean automaker hasn’t released the interior images at this stage, as per previously available design sketches & the spy shots, the 4th gen Tucson will get a minimalistic design cabin which Hyundai says “getting into the cabin is like entering a neatly organized room where everyday concerns disappear, not unlike the feeling of a modern boutique hotel where your comfort and convenience are the utmost priority.”
The overall interior design is very enveloping for the two front occupants thanks to the wraparound design that blends well with the doors. The vertically oriented center fascia is described as a mighty waterfall, which gets a slanted large touchscreen infotainment system & digital vehicle controls for easier usage.
According to information, the all new Hyundai Tucson will be available with petrol, diesel as well as hybrid engine setup for the first time. Built on a new platform, the 4th gen Tucson will have generous dimensions while improving its driving dynamics, performance, comfort and NVH levels according to Hyundai. The South Korean automaker says the all new Tucson will render a sportier & adventurous look and promises that the end-result will be very exciting.
