After having unveiled the Tucson in an online streaming event yesterday, Hyundai-Nishat has finally launched the much awaited compact SUV in Pakistan in a fully digital launch event setting a new trend of virtual car launch in the country.

Available in two variants, the Hyundai Tucson is priced at PKR 48.99 lac for the FWD version called GLS Sport, whereas the AWD version called Ultimate is priced at PKR 53.99 lac. The vehicle is backed by 4-years or 100,000km warranty. However the prices are captioned “limited time only” which leads us to believe that they might be revised soon.
Being a sister product of Sportage sitting on the same platform, the Hyundai Tucson is remarkably similar to its Kia cousin in terms of dimensions. It measures 4,480mm long, 1,850mm wide, and 1,660mm tall while having am exact same 2,670 mm wheelbase having the same 172mm ground clearance.
The sole engine is 2.0 liter naturally aspirated unit that produces 155hp of power and 196Nm of torque sending power to either front or all wheels via a 6-speed automatic transmission. The Tucson comes equipped with all 5 (including spare wheel) 18-inch alloy wheels wearing 225/55 tires. There are 8 exterior color options offered with the Tucson.

Exterior highlights include Penta-LED headlamps with DRLs, fog lamps, puddle lamps, read LED tail lamps, roof rails, powered & heated outside mirrors, embedded spoiler with stop lamp, rear fog lamps and chromic door handles & belt line.
Hyundai Tucson in Pakistan
In terms of equipment, the Hyundai Tucson in Pakistan comes equipped with 2 airbags instead of 6 as available elsewhere, it still has ABS with EBD & BA, hill-start & descend assist, electronic stability system, traction control, speed sensing door locks, reversing assist, auto-safety windows, power tailgate, electronic parking brake, and engine immobilizer etc. on offer. Inside there is a dual-tone interior color scheme, a multi-function steering wheel, 10.1-inch floating touchscreen multimedia system with Hyundai Auto Link, 6-speaker premium audio system, wireless phone charger, climate control, cooled box, rear AC vents, panoramic moon-roof and power adjustable driver seat etc.
