Following Hyundai’s lead, Kia Pakistan has announced yet another hike for its cars without giving any justification. The increase, which would total up to Rs 500,000, will take effect on April 1st, 2023.
As a result, all Kia Sorento variants now cost more than Rs 1 crore. Meanwhile, even the entry-level crossover Stonic now costs more than Rs 5 million. However, the prices of the Sportage Alpha and Carnival variants would remain unchanged.

The prices of the Picanto variants have gone up by Rs 75,000, the Stonic and Sportage prices go up by Rs 200,000 while the Sorento becomes pricier by Rs 500,000. It is pertinent to mention that Kia’s last price increase was announced on 10th March in wake of the 25% GST imposed by the government.
In total, the prices of Kia cars have been revised by up to 5 times within the first three months of this calendar year, not to mention 3 out of 4 locally assembled Kia vehicles in Pakistan are globally obsolete models.
