In a much appreciable move, Lucky Motor Company (LMC) became the first assembler in Pakistan to announce a price reduction owing to the ongoing recovery of PKR against the US Dollar.
According to the company notification, the prices of locally assembled Kia cars have been reduced by as much as Rs 500,000. The revised prices are effective from 6th October 2023.
The price of Picanto AT has been reduced by Rs 100,000, the Sportage FWD and AWD variants have seen their prices go down by Rs 150,000 whereas the flagship Sportage Black Edition has become cheaper by Rs 350,000.
The price of Kia Sorento variants has witnessed a reduction of Rs 500,000. However, the company hasn’t announced a price cut for both Kia Stonic variants as well as Picanto MT without mentioning the reason behind it. Nonetheless, it is a commendable move, and other assemblers should follow suit.
