Maruti has launched the S-CNG version of Suzuki Dzire subcompact sedan in India. Available in two variants, the Dzire S-CNG is priced at INR 8.14 lac (PKR 19.05 lac) for the VXi and INR 8.82 lac (PKR 20.64 lac) for the ZXi version.
The Suzuki Dzire S-CNG gets the same 1.2L K12M DualJet petrol engine under its hood which generates a maximum power of 77 hp and a peak torque of 98.5 Nm in the CNG mode. This engine produces a maximum power of 90 hp and 113 Nm in petrol guise. The CNG variants are offered with 5-speed manual transmission only.
Maruti has also re-tuned the suspension and improved the injection system for a better air-fuel mixture which ensures a smoother ride on CNG mode. Additionally, the company has also used stainless steel pipes and joints to prevent leakages as well as safety switches to kill the engine while refueling.

Mileage is rated at 31.12 km/kg making it India’s most fuel efficient CNG sedan. Speaking on the occasion, Mr Shashank Srivastava, Senior Executive Director (Marketing & Sales), Maruti Suzuki India Limited, said:
“The launch of Dzire S-CNG, will further strengthen our vision of green mobility and catalyze the adoption of green vehicles in India. With customers now getting a CNG option in India’s preferred sedan, the Dzire S-CNG will further alleviate the worries of rising fuel costs and provide economical and environment-friendly mobility to customers.”
