Rising competition among electric vehicles has already started to bear fruit in the Indian market, benefiting customers. In the wake of stiff competition, MG Motors has now slashed the prices of the ZS EV in India by up to INR 2.30 lac.
The MG ZS EV comes in three trim levels: Excite, Exclusive, and Exclusive Pro. The base Excite model now costs INR 22.88 lac (ex-showroom), which is Rs 50,000 less than it did previously. The Exclusive and Exclusive Pro trims now cost INR 2.30 lac and INR 2.0 lac less than before.

The ZS EV is powered by a 177hp, 280Nm permanent magnet synchronous motor installed on the front axle. Its 50.3kWh battery can power it for up to 461km on a single charge. According to MG, the battery can be fully charged with a 7.4kW charger from 0-100 percent in up to 9 hours and a 50kW DC fast charger from 0-80 percent in an hour.

In terms of amenities, the MG ZS EV includes a panoramic sunroof, a 10.1-inch touchscreen, wireless charging, a 7-inch digital instrument panel, and connected vehicle technology. Six airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control, hill descent control, and ADAS (which comprise features like Traffic Jam Assist, Forward Collision Warning, Speed Assist System, Adaptive Cruise Control and Lane Keep Assist Functions) are all included in the list of safety features.
