MG4 EV Launched in Pakistan

MG Pakistan has launched the MG4 EV, making it the company’s second electric vehicle in its product portfolio after the ZS EV. It comes available in two variants: the base MG4 Excite, and the top-spec MG4 Essence.

The MG4 Excite is equipped with a 51 kWh battery, enabling a driving range of 350 km, while the MG4 Essence comes with a larger 64 kWh battery and delivers an impressive range of 450 km, making it more capable of inter-city travel.

According to the company, the MG4 Essence can accelerate from 0-100km/h in just 7.2 seconds, thanks to its robust motor delivering up to 200 hp and a maximum torque of 250 Nm through the rear-wheel-drive system. The base Excite variant does that in 7.7 seconds. Fast charging is also supported which allows to replenish the battery from 10% to 80% charge in just 35 minutes.

Features include a 7.1-inch LED meter cluster and a 10.5-inch central multimedia unit supporting Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, while the Essence variant gains a 6-way electrically adjustable seat, heated steering wheel, heated seats, navigation, and voice command functions.

Standard safety features are rich with 6 airbags, ABS, Emergency Stability Program (ESP, Hill Start Assist, Auto Hold, Automatic Door Locking, rear parking sensors, Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Departure Warning, Lane Keep Assist, Reversing Camera, and Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB). The Essence variant gets even more in the form of MG Pilot- an advanced driver assistance system- that includes Blind Spot Detection, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Door Opening Warning, Emergency Lane Keep Assist, Lane Change Assist, and 360-degree Surround Camera.

The price of the MG4 Excite is Rs. 10,999,000 (excluding Freight and WHT), while the MG4 Essence is available for Rs. 12,990,000 (excluding Freight and WHT).
