The Mitsubishi Xpander was the undisputed star of the 2017 Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) that was held last month. Mitsubishi managed o collect 5,281 bookings for the Xpander only from the GIIAS motor show. As of August 20th, the total number of bookings stood at 7,489.

Kyoya Kondo, president of Mitsubishi Motors Krama Yudha Sales Indonesia (MMKSI) said:

Promotion of the Xpander continues in Indonesia with ‘special exhibitions’ in nine cities and over 70 events. The Xpander, which is powered by a 1.5 litre engine with 104 PS and 141 Nm, is available in five trim levels priced from Rp 189,050,000 (PKR 15.1 lac) to Rp 245,350,000 (PKR 19.1 lac).

The Mitsubishi Xpander is powered by a 1.5 liter 4 cylinder MIVEC engine that produces 77 kW (103.26 hp) and 141 Nm with 5-speed manual and 4-speed automatic transmission options.
Made in Indonesia, it will be exported to ASEAN markets next year. The Xpander is set to compete against the likes of Toyota Avanza, Honda BR-V & Suzuki Ertiga.
