The GT-R special edition is available in 3 dual-tone exterior color schemes, each representing the liveries from the Japan GP Series. The first two being Pearl White with Red stripes and Super Silver with White stripes. The most attention-grabbing for sure is the Bayside Blue used on the R34 model. To ensure a vivid shade of blue is presented with striking highlights and deep shadows, a four-coat, double-heat treatment process was used. This was complemented with white racing stripes, along with blue accents on the 20-inch wheels’ spokes. The “50th Anniversary” lettering is marked at the back of the vehicle using white decals, next to which is recognized GT-R metal emblem.

Inside, a grey interior color scheme is applied with unique steering wheel and shift knob trim, special embossed seats, an Alcantara headliner with unique stitching, Alcantara-wrapped sun visors and a dedicated plaque on the center console.

In terms of power, the GT-R’s 3.8 liter turbocharged V6 remains unchanged. The engine churns out 565 hp of power and 633 Nm of torque and comes mated to 6-speed dual-clutch transmission with AWD and electronically controlled suspension as standard. This engine is hand-built by a special team of engineers at Nissan’s Tochigi facility, who leave their name on it. The unit in pictures was finished by Izumi Shioya, whereas the word Takumi before the mentioned name means “artisan” or “skilled person” in Japanese.
