After the massive success of the ORA Good Cat EV in Thailand, GWM has formally launched the ORA 07 EV in the Thai market. The vehicle is known as ORA Lightning Cat back in China and was first previewed in Thailand in December 2022 with an ORA Grand Cat alias.
Offered in two variants, namely the Long Range and Performance, prices for the Ora 07 electric vehicle start at 1,299,000 baht (PKR 1.06 crore) and go as high as 1,499,000 baht (PKR 1.22 crore).
As far as the styling is concerned the body contours might look very much familiar to the Porsche Panamera. But overall, it looks like a stretched and widened version of the Good Cat with similar design cues such as roundish headlamps and grille.-less fascia. However, the Grand Cat is even more distinctive thanks to its frame-less doors and prominent crease that runs from just ahead of the front wheels to the end of the rear doors. The side profile reveals a rounded, coupe-like roof line. It then transitions into a fastback-like rear end with oblong taillights on either side of the tailgate.

The Ora 07 comes with standard features such as LED headlights and DRLs, LED taillights, a panoramic glass roof, and 18-inch alloys, while the Performance variant gets larger 19-inch wheels. Also added to the range-topping variant is a retractable electric spoiler that will open only when the door is opened, when the car is unlocked, or when traveling at a speed of 70 km/h and above.
Inside, the Ora 07 in Thailand is equipped with standard features such as electrically adjustable front seats, a 10.25-inch instrument display, a 12.3-inch central touchscreen head unit with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support, ambient lighting system, an 11-speaker sound system, an automatic airconditioning system with dual-zone climate control & a PM2.5 filter with fragrance delivery. The Performance variant gains extra goodies such as a head-up display, and memory function for the driver seat, along with massage and ventilation functions for both front seats.
In terms of performance, the Ora 07 Long Range version is equipped with a front-mounted single motor setup that punches out 204 hp of power and 340 Nm of torque, all thanks to an 83.5 kWh ternary lithium-ion battery, which results in an NEDC driving range of 640 km. The more powerful Ora 07 Performance variant features a dual-motor setup that churns out 408 hp and 680 Nm to all four wheels via an all-wheel drive (AWD) system. It is also fitted with the same 83.5 kWh battery but due to its higher performance output, the driving range is slightly shorter at 550 km (NEDC).

As for safety, the Ora 07 in Thailand comes standard with features such as intelligent cruise control (ICC), traffic jam assist (TJA), lane keep assist (LKA), land departure warning (LDW), and rear cross-traffic alert (RCTA). Door opening warning (DOW), tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS), and a 360-degree camera system & automatic parking function are also included.
