Maruti has launched the petrol versions of new Suzuki S-Cross in India with prices starting from INR 8.37 lac. The crossover SUV was previously available with diesel engines only.

The Suzuki S-Cross now gets a BS-6 compliant 1.5-liter K-series petrol engine, churning out 103hp of power and peak torque of 138 Nm. The engine comes paired to either 4-speed automatic or a 5-speed manual transmission.
Maruti claims that the Suzuki S-Cross delivers best-in-class fuel efficiency of 18.55 km in a liter while the S-Cross automatic delivers 18.43 km/l. The S-Cross petrol gets Suzuki’s next-generation Smart Hybrid System with lithium-ion dual battery system with idle start-stop, torque assists functions and regenerative braking function.

Features include a SmartPlay studio with 7-inch capacitive touchscreen infotainment system with Live traffic updates, voice recognition and AHA radio access via the Smartplay Studio App. The system also gets Smartphone connectivity with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity.
2020 Maruti Suzuki S-Cross Petrol
In terms of safety, the new Suzuki S-Cross Petrol gets auto-dimming and antiglare inside rearview mirror, rear parking camera and gear shift indicator along with dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, driver and co-driver seat belt reminder, rear parking assist, high-speed warning alert, reverse parking sensors and ISOFIX child seat restraint system.
