Tata Celebrates 5 Million Passenger Vehicles Production Milestone

Tata Motors of India has just celebrated achieving the 5 million passenger vehicles production milestone. The feat was celebrated in a unique way where the New Forever range of Tata passenger cars and SUVs came together to create the “50-lakh” formation. These include the Altroz, Nexon, Punch, Tiago, Tigor, Harrier, and Safari.

The company achieved the 1 million production mark in 2004, the 2 million units milestone in 2010, reached the 3 million mark in 2015, and rolled out its 4 millionth car in the year 2020. More interestingly, Tata was able to stride ahead from 4 million cars to 5 million within just 3 years, despite Covid-19 and the semiconductor shortage crisis which plagued the global automotive industry.
