Tata Motors has launched a new XT variant in the Tiago NRG line-up with prices starting at INR 6.42 lac. This addition has been made to celebrate the car’s first anniversary.

The Tiago NRG is basically a crossover styled variant of the Tiago city car which is there since 2016. The Tiago NRG which is blessed with an increased ride height, raw plastic guards for bumpers and sills, dual-tone alloy wheels and a rear bumper shield, debuted in 2018 and received an update with a facelift last year.
The new XT variant is positioned below the XZ variant and comes INR 41,000 cheaper in price than the top-spec trim. In terms of styling, the XT trim gets 14-inch hyper-style wheels, black roof rails, fog lamps, and plastic cladding around the wheel arches. Inside, the cabin gets an all-black theme with a 3.5-inch Harman infotainment system with steering-mounted controls and a height-adjustable driver seat.
Safety features include dual airbags, ABS with EBD, Electronic Stability Program (ESP), engine immobilizer, keyless entry, speed sending door locks, seatbelt reminders, overspeed warning (1 beep over 80km/h, constant beep above 120km/h), puncture repair kit and a 4-star Global NCAP safety rating.

Under the hood, the Tata Tiago NRG XT variant retains the same 1.2L petrol engine that does duty on the standard Tiago. The engine produces 84hp of power and 113Nm of torque and is mated to a 5-speed manual transmission only.
