Changan has recently introduced an improved version of the 2018 Eado XT hatchback in China. The Eado XT is known as the finest Chinese hatchback with a very impressive design and an unmatched performance.

The Eado XT measures 4,505×1,820×1,490mm with a wheelbase of 2,700mm and is available with a choice of two engines. There is a 1.5 liter 170 hp turbocharged unit mated to a 7-speed DCT gearbox, and a 1.6 liter 125 hp GDI (Gasoline Direct Injection) naturally aspirated unit mated to either a 5-speed manual or 6-speed automatic (Aisin) transmission. Reportedly Changan is also working on a 1.4 liter turbocharged engine that will be made available by 2019.
The updates are currently available with 1.6 GDI versions. There are a couple of things worth mentioning in the updated Eado XT. One is the rich security configuration, including the active safety system and the driving recorder function. The second is the intelligent multimedia system , with the new version of the In Call system.

The updated 2018 Eado XT is equipped with a new version of the In Call 3.0 intelligent car interconnect system, with integrated radio, multimedia, telephone, navigation, voice control, online resources and many other functions. A built-in high-tech car map and music system, wireless network hotspot and 4G traffic update system is also included.
Eado XT’s collision warning function is effective for stationary objects in the range of 30-85km/h, and the speed is effective for moving objects in the range of 30-150km/h. The automatic emergency braking function is effective for stationary objects in the range of 4-48km/h, and is effective for moving objects in the range of 4-150km/h.

Key features include driver, passenger and side airbags, ABS with EBD & BA, ESC, electronic parking brakes, collision avoidance system, AEB (autonomous emergency braking), parking assistance, engine start/ stop button, electric sunroof, multi-function steering wheel, keyless & smart entry system, USB/ AUX connectivity, power steering/ windows, heated outside mirrors, TPMS and much more.
The 2018 Changan Eado XT with 1.6 GDI engine is priced from 74,900 yuan (PKR 13.48 lac) and goes as high as 94,900 yuan (PKR 17.08 lac) for the fully loaded version.
