The New DFSK Glory 580 Pro Goes on Sale in China

The DFSK Glory 580 Pro which is the new facelifted version of the 7-seat SUV that was displayed at the 2019 Shanghai Auto Show earlier this year has went on sale in Chinese market. The vehicle is known as Fengon in its home market.

There is a redesigned fascia with new slim headlight, new front bumper, revised tail lights and new rear bumper with dual exhaust and diffuser. The core idea of Glory 580 Pro is to revitalize the regular Glory 580 fully, making it more stylish and more powerful. The Pro features radial starry grille (optional) and a panoramic sunroof. The headlight has been modified to a 4-grid look accompanied by butterfly shaped LED DRLs. The 580 Pro rises on new 18-inch ally wheels making in stand out from the regular 580.

The interior also gets major design revisions. The Glory 580 Pro features a gigantic 15.6-inch touchscreen and a 12.3-inch dual interface screen for speedometer and driver information. The dual tone black/ beige dashboard with silver accents features minimalistic and clean design. There are slim air vents below the large screen while digitally operated controls as well as engine start/ stop function is found in the center stack. There is a multi-function flat-bottomed steering wheel, rear AC vents, electric parking brake and electronic drive selector to add to the convenience.

In terms of equipment the Glory 580 Pro features LinOS intelligent connectivity system with voice command, remote control and live entertainment. Furthermore there is intelligent auxiliary induction tailgate, hydrophobic glass in side mirrors, automatic headlights/ wipers/ AC, electrically adjustable seats as well as 360o panoramic parking system on offer.

The 580 Pro is not a replacement of the 580 but is sold in parallel to the regular 580 and its PHEV variants in China. It is backed by a 7-years/ 150,000 km warranty in China. There are 3 versions available– Elite, Comfort, Luxury– with 2 engine and 3 transmission options.

2019 DFSK Glory 580 (regular version)

The Elite version comes with 1.8 liter naturally aspirated or 1.5 liter turbocharged engine paired to either 5-speed manual or 6-speed manual transmission respectively. The Comfort version is available with 1.8L engine paired to 5MT gearbox as well as 1.5T engine with either 6MT or CVT. The Luxury version is available with 1.5T engine paired to either 6MT or CVT transmission.

Other than China the Glory 580 is also assembled in Indonesia where the facelift was showcased at 27th Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show and is expected to go on sale towards Q1, 2020. The Glory 580 is also exported to various other countries from Indonesia. Glory 580 is also available in South Korea where it’s sold with a DFSK G7 brand name.

In Pakistan the DFSK Glory 580 was launched last year by Regal Automobiles against a price tag of PKR 32.5 lac. The prices however have kept increasing since then while it has again been recently been revised to PKR 37.5 lac effective from 15th November 2019.

The new Glory 580 in China is priced between 80,900 yuan (PKR 17.91 lac) to 123,000 yuan (PKR 27.24 lac) while the 580 Pro is priced between 92,900 yuan (PKR 20.57 lac) and 120,900 yuan (PKR 26.77 lac).
