The Toyota Yaris sedan will come as a replacement of 1.3 liter Corolla XLi and GLi variants. As per information, the Yaris will come equipped with two engine options– a 1.3 liter engine which is most likely the 4NR-FE unit that churns out 98hp of power and 123Nm of torque, as well as a 1.5 liter 2NR-FE unit that punches out 106hp of power and 140Nm of torque. Both the engines will come paired to either 5-speed manual or CVT gearbox options.
The speculated price for Yaris is around PKR 2.3 million for the base 1.3 liter variant to as high as PKR 2.9 million for the flagship 1.5 liter version. With similar engine capacities, IMC will perfectly pit the Yaris against the Honda City and its Aspire variants; however as per reports the Yaris will be a better equipped vehicle than the 5th gen City which has become 11 years old in our market.
