A recent Audi Abu Dhabi survey highlights a growing interest in pre-owned electric vehicles (EVs) among UAE residents, reflecting a shift toward sustainable transportation preferences.
The survey revealed that warranties are a top priority for buyers, with 32% stating they would consider a pre-owned EV if warranty options were available. Emirati respondents (41%) and younger buyers aged 18-24 (36%) placed the greatest emphasis on reliability through warranties.
Cost savings and environmental benefits also ranked as key motivators, with 27% of respondents citing these factors. Notably, the 25-34 age group showed a strong preference for eco-friendliness and financial practicality, with 33% prioritizing these advantages.

Challenges persist, with 13% of respondents citing a lack of charging infrastructure as a major deterrent and 17% expressing interest in EVs but not yet ready to make a purchase. This underscores the need for awareness campaigns and practical enhancements to support adoption.
