The 12th generation Toyota Corolla hatchback was officially revealed at New York Auto Show in March, earlier this year. Known as the Toyota Auris in Europe, the all-new hatchback goes on sale this summer globally. Whereas camouflaged test mules of the sedan version of the world’s most popular car, has been seen testing on numerous occasion already.

The Corolla sedan will be officially presented in bigger auto shows towards the end of this year, for a possible 2019 debut. The current 11th generation Corolla was launched back in 2013 and will complete six-year of its global life span in 2019.

The next generation Toyota Corolla sedan is expected to reach the Brazilian market in 2019, where the car is extremely popular like any other part of the world. Brazilian auto portal Autos Segredos, has released renderings of the next-gen Toyota Corolla sedan, previewing its anticipated form.

Riding on the new TNGA platform, the next generation Corolla sedan will come equipped with an array of engine options including conventional gasoline, turbocharged as well as hybrid powertrains. The engine options offered will differ according to the market where the vehicle will be sold. Reportedly, the 12th gen Corolla might also get BMW engines in certain high-end performance variants as part of the BMW-Toyota technical partnership.

The current 11th generation Corolla was launched in Pakistan back in 2014, whereas the facelift was introduced three years later in 2017.
