Hyundai-Nishat has officially unveiled the Tucson SUV in Pakistan via a fully digital online event streamed to a selected audience including CarSpiritPK.
The second session of this event will be held tomorrow where the prices will be officially revealed. Hosted by Ayesha Omar & Ali Rehman Khan, the online event highlighted the importance of Tucson SUV in Hyundai’s lineup as well as its features offered with the local variant. Hyundai-Nishat’s Chief Operating Officer Tatsuya Sato also had a brief speech where he praised the COVID-19 frontline workers for their priceless contributions fighting the pandemic.

The Tucson will come equipped with a 2.0-liter petrol engine that produces 155 hp of power and 196 Nm of peak torque. It will come available with 5-speed manual as well as 6-speed automatic transmission options in both 2WD & AWD configurations.

According to the information given, the Tucson in Pakistan will have 2 airbags instead of 6 as available elsewhere, it will still have ABS with EBD & BA, hill-start & descend assist, electronic stability system, traction control, speed sensing door locks, reversing assist, power tailgate and engine immobilizer etc. Inside there will be dual-tone interior color scheme, a multi-function steering wheel, 10-inch floating touchscreen multimedia system with Hyundai Auto Link, wireless phone charger, climate control, cooled box, rear AC vents, panoramic moon-roof and power adjustable driver seat etc.
