The second-generation Honda WR-V has been formally launched in Thailand, following its global debut in Indonesia in November last year. WR-V (Winsome Runabout Vehicle) competes in the subcompact SUV segment and is positioned below the HR-V in Honda’s hierarchy of products.
Measuring 4,060 mm long, 1,780 mm wide, and 1,608 mm tall with a wheelbase of 2,485 mm, the 2023 Honda WR-V in Thailand is offered in two variants– the SV priced at 799,000 baht (PKR 63.97 lac) and the top-spec RS that is available for 869,000 baht (PKR 69.57 lac).
Visually there is not much of a difference between the two variants apart from some minor cosmetic differences. For example, the SV has horizontally dashed grille inserts whereas the RS gets one with chrome pins. The SV variant also gets standard 16-inch 5-spoke alloy wheels while the RS has 17-inch dual-toned ones. The interior of the RS is mostly black, with traces of red in various locations. Meanwhile, the SV receives silver accents on the doors and dashboard.

Both variants are powered by a 1.5L naturally-aspirated four-cylinder i-VTEC DOHC petrol engine that churns out 120 hp and 145 Nm with power sent to the front wheels via a CVT gearbox.
In terms of equipment, the SV comes standard with automatic LED headlamps, LED DRLs, LED taillights with sequential turn signals, electric powered side mirrors, a 7-inch touchscreen system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support, a 4-speaker sound system, black synthetic leather/fabric combination seat upholstery with blue stitching, a leather steering wheel with blue stitching, automatic air-conditioning, keyless entry and engine start, remote engine start, Honda Smart Key Card, a 4.2-inch TFT multi-info display, a multi-angle reverse camera, and a front armrest. Safety systems included are 4 airbags, ABS with EBD, Vehicle Stability Assist, and Hill Start Assist.

Moving up, the RS package gets 6 airbags, LED front fog lamps, paddle shifters, red inside stitching, a rear armrest, a six-speaker sound system, and Honda Connect telematics. The Honda Sensing suite comes available in both SV and RS variants and includes the Collision Mitigation Braking System (CMBS), Lane Keeping Assist System (LKAS), Road Departure Mitigation System With Lane Departure Warning (RDM with LDW), Auto High-Beam (AHB), Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), and Lead Car Departure Notification System (LCDN). However, the RS version also gets the LaneWatch assist which is absent in the SV variant.
