After making a successful debut in Thailand, and Laos, the all-new Toyota Yaris sedan (D92A) has been launched in Saudi Arabia where it will compete against the likes of new Honda City and Nissan Sunny.
Unlike Thailand, which gets a 1.2L 3NR-VE engine under the hood, all 3 variants (Y, Y Plus, YX) of the new Yaris in the kingdom get the same engine that’s offered with Vios in the Laos market. It’s a 1NR-VE four-cylinder unit that produces 98 hp of power and 122 Nm of torque, paired to a CVT gearbox.

In terms of equipment, the base Y variant gets LED headlights, a rear view camera, rear air-condition vents, key-less entry, and a 7-inch Android Auto/Apple CarPlay compatible infotainment system as standard. Moving up, the Y Plus variant benefits from 16-inch alloy wheels, 7-inch digital speedometer, and digital air-condition controls. The flagship YX variant, builds on the Y Plus by adding power-folding side mirrors, LED-combination tail lights, and a 9-inch screen paired to a 6-speaker setup, as well as high-grade fabric seats, automatic climate control, and a leather steering wheel.
