Master Changan is all set to expand its local portfolio with the introduction of Oshan X7 SUV likely towards the end of this year, CarSpiritPK has learned from a reliable source. The X7 is a mid-sized crossover SUV positioned under Changan’s Oshan (also called Oushan) sub-brand & made its debut at the 2019 Shanghai Auto Show. Earlier this year Oshan X7 received a facelift for the 2021 model year called the Oshan X7 Plus, featuring redesigned front fascia and rear ends with split led head lamps and full-width tail lamps. The Oshan X7 is quite a big vehicle as far as the dimensions are concerned, which makes it comparable to the likes of Toyota Fortuner and KIA Sorento. In fact, Oshan X7’s 2,780 mm & Plus’s 2,786 mm wheelbase is even greater than that of Fortuner & Sorento which have 2,745mm and 2,780mm wheelbase respectively.

Changan Oshan X7 Plus

Although the vehicle comes available as a 5-seater in Chinese market, as per our source Changan is considering to offer the X7 in both 5-seat as well as 7-seat configurations depending on the variant. However it is not confirmed at this stage whether the X7 Plus will make its way in our market. It is also being reported that Master Changan has already started rolling out the locally assembled units of the Oshan X7 which does indicate that the formal launch is somewhere around the corner. As for prices, one may expect the Changan Oshan X7 to fall around PKR 5.0 to 6.0 million range to compete against the flurry of new & upcoming CUVs in the market, however we will have to wait for final price announcement in this regard.
