Changan officially launched its Qiyuan A07 sedan in China. The sedan which was first unveiled in April, and debuted in July comes in two power versions— pure electric (EV) and extended range (EREV).
All in all, there are 5 variants available, among them, three are EREV models, the 200 Air, 200 Pro, and 200 Max, and two EV models, the 515 Air and 515 Pro, with a price range of RMB 155,900-176,900 ($21,300 to $24,200). Keep in mind that Qiyuan is a new energy vehicle (NEV) brand under Changan’s umbrella and the A07 is the first model launched under the Qiyuan brand.
The outside of the Changan Qiyuan A07 highlights the qualities of modern energy models with its elegant exterior design, rounded body, front and rear LED light belts, and closed main fascia. Up front, there is the Qiyuan logo, which is made up of two 1s and one 0, and represents the basic origin of numbers (binary), according to Changan.
The fastback design adds a touch of sportiness while maintaining the body’s sleek, elegant contours. The vehicle also has a hatchback tailgate, frameless doors, and hidden door handles. In terms of dimensions, the Changan Qiyuan A07 has a length, width, and height of 4,905/1,910/1,480 mm and a wheelbase of 2,900 mm, positioning it as a medium-to-large-sized sedan.
Inside, a 15.4-inch floating central control panel with 2.5K resolution and a double-spoke flat-bottom steering wheel with ambient lighting around the cockpit make up the interior’s minimalist design. There are very few physical buttons inside because most of its functions are integrated into the touchscreen. In parallel, an AR-HUD replaces the conventional instrument panel. The audio system consists of 16 speakers, including two headrest speakers for the driver.
