All in all, there are 5 variants available, among them, three are EREV models, the 200 Air, 200 Pro, and 200 Max, and two EV models, the 515 Air and 515 Pro, with a price range of RMB 155,900-176,900 ($21,300 to $24,200). Keep in mind that Qiyuan is a new energy vehicle (NEV) brand under Changan’s umbrella and the A07 is the first model launched under the Qiyuan brand.
The outside of the Changan Qiyuan A07 highlights the qualities of modern energy models with its elegant exterior design, rounded body, front and rear LED light belts, and closed main fascia. Up front, there is the Qiyuan logo, which is made up of two 1s and one 0, and represents the basic origin of numbers (binary), according to Changan.
The fastback design adds a touch of sportiness while maintaining the body’s sleek, elegant contours. The vehicle also has a hatchback tailgate, frameless doors, and hidden door handles. In terms of dimensions, the Changan Qiyuan A07 has a length, width, and height of 4,905/1,910/1,480 mm and a wheelbase of 2,900 mm, positioning it as a medium-to-large-sized sedan.
Inside, a 15.4-inch floating central control panel with 2.5K resolution and a double-spoke flat-bottom steering wheel with ambient lighting around the cockpit make up the interior’s minimalist design. There are very few physical buttons inside because most of its functions are integrated into the touchscreen. In parallel, an AR-HUD replaces the conventional instrument panel. The audio system consists of 16 speakers, including two headrest speakers for the driver.

Interior is available in various color options. The seats have a diamond pattern and perforated finish, and the higher-end variants offer heated, ventilated, and massaged front seats, and a scent system. A “five-sense immersion space” with four modes is also available in the cockpit. These modes are singing, watching movies, napping, and mind-wandering when in the rest mode. For instance, the nap scenario promotes sleep while the meditation scenario encourages stress reduction.
The car is equipped with an L2 level IACC adaptive cruise control system as standard, which supports functions such as intelligent cruise control in congestion, stabilizing and centering, automatic large-vehicle avoidance, and intelligent speed-limit control.

On the other hand, the Qiyuan A07 range-extended version adopts a 1.5-liter naturally aspirated engine as the range extender, with a maximum power of 70 kW for the range extender, maximum power of 160 kW for the electric motor, and a peak torque of 320 Nm; the vehicle’s purely electric range is 200 kilometers (CLTC condition, battery capacity of 28.4 kWh), and the official 100-kilometer fuel consumption under the state of feeding is 4.5 liters. The vehicle also supports a 3kW external discharge function and has a range of 1,200 kilometers on a full charge and full fuel.
The Qiyuan A07 is seen as Changan’s answer to the likes of the Tesla Model 3 and BYD Seal in the Chinese market. It is yet to be seen whether Changan will launch this car outside of China.
