Chery has released first official images of the new Arrizo 8 sedan which will be slotted as the flagship model in Chery’s Arrizo lineup. Keep in mind Chery has Tiggo series for crossovers and Arrizo series for sedans.

The new Arrizo 8 boasts a very clean and impressive design language with slim LED headlamps with dashed light signatures and a large intricate mesh grille upfront. The side profile features a sharp shoulder line that originates from an ornament on front fender and embeds all the way into the rear lights which are connected to each other with a slim LED strip. The crafty rear bumper gets diffuser element with quad exhaust pipes, plus there is a shark fin antenna and spoiler on the boot lid to round up the exterior details.

The interior is also beautifully crafted with dashboard featuring twin 12.3-inch large screens for infotainment system and meter cluster display. There is a D-cut multi-function steering wheel while the central tunnel features a chunky gear lever, and space for wireless charger and other controls such as electronic hand break and digital drive mode selector. The door panels also feature a beautiful design with a unique door handle, electronic controls for seat adjustment as well as tweeters.

Chery Arrizo 8 will be available with two engines, the base versions will get a 1.6L turbo with 194 hp and 290 Nm, while the top-spec Sport version will get a 2.0L turbo good for 250 hp and 390 Nm. Both engines will be paired to a 7-speed DCT gearbox. The car in the official photos is the base version, recognizable by the 290T badge, which refers to the torque number.
The Chery Arrizo 8 will go on sale in Chinese market from the third quarter of 2022 with prices expected to start around 140,000 yuan (PKR 40.97 lac).
