Chery has launched a new 2-door four-seat EV in China called the Unbounded Pro (QQ Wujie Pro) priced from 89,900 to 112,900 yuan (PKR 28.11 lac to PKR 35.30 lac).
The Unbounded Pro EV measures 3,402 mm long, 1,680 mm wide and 1,590 mm tall with a 2,160 mm wheelbase. For the sake of comparison, the 8th gen Suzuki Alto 660cc that we have here is 3,395 mm long and has a 2,460 mm wheelbase. This means that while the Unbounded Pro is marginally larger than the Alto in terms of length, it has a relatively smaller wheelbase.
In terms of styling the new Unbounded Pro EV has sharp LED headlamps and a closed fascia with a mesh pattern embossed on it. The headlamps are flanked by blacked-out vertical elements which are repeated on the back side of the vehicle too. Other notable design elements include a dual-tone exterior, hidden door handles, and orange/red decorations on the side skirts and front & rear bumpers as well as funky 16-inch alloy wheels.
Inside, there is a large 12.9-inch landscape screen and a 7.0-inch digital instrument panel. Like the exterior, there are splashes of orange/red on the multi-function steering wheel, dashboard, door panels, seats and other areas to break the monotony.
Other features include electric leather seats, a panoramic glass roof, a full ADAS suite including lane departure warning, traffic sign recognition, collision warning, blind spot monitoring, merging assist, door opening warning and other standard safety features such as airbags & ABS with EBD etc.

Plus it has a third-generation Qualcomm Snapdragon 6155 chip which powers a “540-degree” camera system combining a conventional 360-degree setup with a forward-facing 180-degree camera for users to “see through” the car’s bonnet. The car is connected to Chery’s New Energy App, where users can unlock the car, open its windows, search for the car and turn on cooling/heating via smartphone.
The Chery Unbounded Pro comes available in 7 exterior color options, 5 trim levels and two battery/range options. There is a 28.86 kWh unit powering a 74 hp/150 Nm motor for 301 km of range. The second options is a 40.296 kWh battery that churns out 94 hp but lesser torque at 120 Nm for an enhanced drive range of 408 km.

Claimed acceleration is 4.8 seconds (under six seconds with the 74 hp motor), but note that it’s for zero to 50 km/h and not 100 km/h. While the Wujie Pro can reach the century mark, its top speed is just 125 km/h (120 km/h with the 74 hp version). Both models support regular and fast charging allowing the car to get 30% – 80% charge in just 30 minutes.
