Suzuki doesn’t do so well with sedans. Their last offering in sedan space was the Ciaz which is now almost a decade old. Although Suzuki Ciaz did exceptionally well in its initial years, it hasn’t been updated for nearly 9 years now and that reflects by its ailing sales figures.
In many markets including Pakistan, the Ciaz was discontinued due to poor sales, and in Thailand and Vietnam, it sits at the very bottom of sales charts. Though India remains one of the markets where Suzuki Ciaz is doing well, of course not as good as it did a few years back but nevertheless its sales performance across the border is far better than that in other markets.

Now in an effort to regenerate interest among car buyers, Maruti Suzuki has launched the Ciaz dual-tone option in the top-spec Alpha variant in both manual and automatic transmission options priced at INR 11.14 lac & INR 12.34 lac respectively. Apart from the new color options, the updated Ciaz also gets additional safety features as standard across the range.
Ciaz customers in India can now choose from 3 dual-tone options in addition to the 7 single-tone paint jobs that were already on offer. In terms of other upgrades, the sedan now also offers Electronic Stability Program (ESP) and Hill Hold Assist as standard along with the existing safety features such as dual airbags, ISOFIX child seat anchorage, and rear parking sensors. Overall, the company claims that the Ciaz offers over 20 safety features.
