Zeekr, the premium EV brand of Geely Auto, has launched its third production model, the Zeekr X in China. The new all-electric SUV comes in three trim levels and is priced between 189,800 and 209,800 yuan ($27,600 to $30,500).
First unveiled in February, the Zeekr X looks like a large hatchback but the company calls it an electric SUV, much like what Kia does with its Stonic. It will however be more appropriate to call it a CUV. Built on Geely’s Scalable Electric Architecture (SEA) which is also used by the smart #1 (which is produced in collaboration between Daimler and Geely), the Zeekr X measures 4,450 mm long, 1,836 mm wide, and 1,572 mm, with a wheelbase of 2,750 mm.
Zeekr X has great proportions with a low ground clearance, a long wheelbase, sloping A-pillars, and some sharp lines that give it a dynamic appearance.

The electric motors and batteries are both produced by Geely-owned VREMT (Viridi E-Mobility Technology). The X has two alternatives when it comes to electric motors. A 200 kW (272 hp) electric motor is mounted on the rear axle which helps accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.8 seconds. The second choice is a dual e-motors setup with a combined output of 315 kW (428 hp). It helps Zeekr X to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.7 seconds. The battery has a 66 kWh capacity and is ternary (NMC). The CLTC range for the RWD version is 560 km, while the CLTC range for the 4WD model is 512 km on a single charge.
Inside there is a massive 14.6-inch floating main screen that can move across the dashboard toward the front passenger which highlights the minimalist design of the dual-tone cabin.
Along with a gear shifter behind the steering wheel, it also incorporates a wireless phone charger. The Zeekr X has the option of having 5 or 4 seats, which is unusual for Chinese vehicles. For the four-seat variant, there are three interior color combination options: blue-white, blue-green, and black-gray. The five-seat model also comes in a stunning violet shade. Plus there are 6 exterior colors available which are named after various regions of the world.

After going on sale in China, the all-electric Zeekr X is expected to be introduced in Europe towards the second half of this year.
