Honda Extends Plant Shutdown Again

Honda Atlas has extended the closure of its 4-wheeler assembly plant for another two days (November 8th and 9th) after keeping production operations suspended from October 24 to November 7.  In a stock filing, the company said that the current level of inventory and parts shortages had severely disrupted its supply chain.

According to reports, car assemblers are again facing issues related to the import of completely knocked-down kits. Other leading assemblers including Pak Suzuki and Indus Motors (Toyota) as well as spare parts, motorcycle & tractor manufacturers are also observing NPDs (non-production days) at regular intervals.
