After increasing the prices of Tucson crossover on 22nd July, Hyundai-Nishat has jacked up the prices of Elantra and Sonata sedans which will come into effect from 25th July 2022.
With an increase of Rs 7.57 lac the price of Elantra 1.6L has now reached PKR 50.99 lac whereas the 2.0L variant with an increase of Rs 5.0 lac will now cost PKR 54.99 lac. On the other hand the price of Sonata 2.0L has seen a maximum surge of Rs 8.3 lac after which its price has now reached Rs 78.99 lac while that of 2.5L variant with an increase of Rs 5.7 lac is now available for Rs 84.99 lac.
According to the notification, the increase in prices have been made due to massive depreciation of PKR against USD which has considerably affected the input costs including the CKD/ SKD kits. The company has also recently hiked the freight charges for its destinations across the country in wake of rising fuel costs.
