Hyundai has launched the CNG version of the Grand i10 Nios hatchback in India priced from INR 6.62 lac (PKR 14.5 lac). Earlier in February, the South Korean automaker had also introduced a turbocharged variant of the Grand i10 Nios hatchback.

Under the hood the Grand i10 Nios CNG gets a bi-fuel version of the 1.2-liter naturally aspirated four-cylinder Kappa engine which produces 69hp of power and 95Nm of torque. There is no AMT option in the CNG variant as the lone transmission choice remains the 5-speed manual. There is a 60kg cylinder fitted in the car’s trunk for CNG storage.
The Grand i10 Nios CNG comes in Magna and Sportz trims. The Magna gets steel wheels with covers, power outside mirrors, 2-DIN audio system with Bluetooth connectivity, USB and iblue app support, steering wheel mounted audio controls, all four power windows with auto-down function for the driver window and height-adjustable driver seat.

Features in the Sportz trim includes 14-inch alloy wheels finished in gunmetal, shark fin antenna, 5-inch digital speedometer with MID, 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto with voice recognition and automatic climate control.
In terms of safety, both the trims include central locking, dimmable rear-view mirror, rear parking sensors, dual-front airbags, ABS with EBD, front seatbelt reminders, speed alert system, speed sensing auto door lock, impact sensing auto door unlock, as well as projector fog lamps at the front, rear defogger and rear-view camera etc. The Sportz trim is priced at INR 7.16 lac (equivalent to PKR 15.7 lac).
