Indus Motor Company (IMC) has launched the all-new Toyota Land Cruiser Prado in Pakistan. Dubbed Prado 250, the SUV which comes as a CBU import is available in two variants— a 2.7L petrol and a 2.8L diesel.
The latest Prado model made its debut last year in the North American markets and was recently introduced in its home market of Japan, however, the name Prado was omitted making it simply a Land Cruiser 250. For our market though, the Prado moniker will continue to be in use albeit it’s suffixed with 250.

Under the hood, the engine options are similar to the Japanese market. There is a 2.8L 1GD-FTV turbodiesel that makes 203 hp of power and 500 Nm of torque and comes paired with an 8-speed automatic gearbox. The other engine is the 2.7L 2TR-FE petrol that puts out a humble 162 hp with 246 Nm, paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission.
Exterior highlights include auto-leveling LED headlamps, LED fog lamps and LED DRLs, LED rear combination lamps, LED license plate lamp, auto retract side mirrors (memory, lamp, and camera function for top-spec diesel variant only), chromic front grille (diesel only), time-adjusted windshield wipers, and chrome garnishing (diesel only).
Interior features 8-way driver/ 4-way front passenger seat adjustment (6-way/4-way for petrol variant), multi-way peripheral camera monitoring (diesel only), dual-zone auto climate control (single zone manual in petrol), auto AC for rear row (diesel only), leather seats (fabric in petrol) with ventilation & heating function (diesel only), integrated sports driving mode with 5 variations (diesel only), 12-inch audio system (8-inch in petrol), 10 speakers (8 in petrol), USB & HDMI connectivity (only USB in petrol), leather shift knob (PVC in petrol), leather steering (urethane in petrol), illuminated entry system, rear console box in petrol and fridge in diesel variant.
The safety kit includes 6 airbags (front/ side/ knee/ curtain), ABS with EBD, Vehicle Stability Control with (Crawl mode, Multi-terrain select, Dynamic Stability Control in diesel, and Active Stability Control in petrol), ISOFIX child seat anchorage, and seatbelt warning system. Lastly, the price of the all-new Prado in Pakistan is Rs 66,600,000 for the 2.7L Petrol variant while the top-spec Diesel variant is available for Rs 75,550,000.
