Kia has launched the new EV9 at the 2024 Singapore Motor Show. Offered in a sole GT-Line trim, the all-electric flagship SUV is priced at SGD289,999, roughly converting into PKR 6.03 crore.

The EV9’s dimensions are 5,015 mm in length, 1,980 mm in width, 1,780 mm in height, and 3,100 mm in wheelbase. This is almost similar to the new Kia Carnival we have here which measures 5,155/ 1,995/ 1,775 with a 3,090 mm wheelbase.
Key features include 19-inch aero wheels, LED exterior lighting, a sunroof, an illuminated grille with a pixel-like pattern, retractable door handles, digital side mirrors, a head-up display, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a 12.3-inch touchscreen system (with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay), a head-up display, climate control with second- and third-row air vents, a wireless charging pad, a 14-speaker Meridian sound system, and a powered tailgate.

Kia EV9 is a genuine 6-seater with a 2+2+2 layout. The center-row seats can be rotated 180 degrees to face the third row. Customers also have the option of choosing relaxation seats, which have a deeper recline than swivel seats. All of the seats have vegan leather upholstery, while the front ones have power features including heating and ventilation.

Safety and driver assistance systems include 8 airbags, adaptive cruise control with stop and go, Driver Steering Assist, Auto Evasive Steering Assist, blind spot monitoring and collision avoidance, lane keep assist with follow assist, a 360 surround-view monitor as well as autonomous emergency braking.

As for the powertrain, the Kia EV9 features a 99.8-kWh lithium-ion polymer battery providing a range of up to 512 km (WLTP standard). There are two types of charging available: AC (up to 11 kW; 10-80% state of charge in 8 hours) and DC (up to 350 kW; 10-80% SoC in 24 minutes). The battery powers two electric motors, one on each axle for all-wheel drive, with a combined power output of 385 PS (380 hp or 283 kW) and 700 Nm of torque. With a top speed of 200 km/h, this enables the large SUV to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 6 seconds.
